John Lennon had it right, Imagine.........
Unfathomable heartbreak and sorrow in Orlando. Orlando doesn't have to happen. As a world, as nations, as communities, as families, as individuals we are not taking our responsibility to look after ourselves and one another. We must teach self-love and self-care (it starts there). We must teach love and tolerance for others. We must care for each other and take responsibility and care for those weaker than ourselves - the infirm, the mentally ill. We must teach that ALL people are equal. We must make sure all people on this earth have enough, not just the 5% in N. America and Europe. In the western world we may have to settle for less so others can have their fair share.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. American gun laws are not working. This Western economic system is not working, free trade is not working - Free trade is responsible for so much deprivation and destruction on our planet earth.
We must wake up or events like that in Orlando are for nothing. They will keep on happening until we change what we are doing. These painful events are there to show us our flaws, to wake us to what is not working, to catalyze change, growth, transformation.
Let us take up the challenge. We have to change our economic model, we have to include all people, we have to stop giving power to the sociopathic class - to be responsible for our lives. No more excuses, no more stories, about how the economy will suffer, how it will never work. Is it working now?
